Donate a Strain Submission

To ensure that your strain is evaluated at the next meeting, please submit your strain no later than the 3rd Wednesday of the month. You will be notified by email after your strain has been reviewed. Please note that strain donors are expected to incur costs associated with shipping of mice or cryopreserved materials to The Jackson Laboratory.
If you need further assistance please contact JAX Mouse Concierge.

Important Notes:

  • For each offered strain, upload the publication/manuscript in which you characterized the unique mutation/allele/strain. Our Committee will treat all manuscripts confidentially.
  • Each submission allows one paper to be uploaded.
  • If JAX already distributes a similar mouse line, please compare/contrast the major differences/advantages for the mouse line you are offering in the Additional Information section.
  • If you are submitting multiple strains for consideration, use the Add Strain button near the bottom of the form to save yourself some time. Please make sure the document upload is complete before adding another strain.
  • If you have more than 10 strains to submit, please contact concierge@jax.org for an alternate submission form.
